“Visibility – Connectivity – Expertise” Mission
PWAG’s main goals in the last decade have been to support deeper and more sustainable connectivity between PeaceWomen across the globe. We do this by increasing the visibility of their work, expanding their knowledge and skills and disseminating their expertise outside their own spheres of influence.
To celebrate the 10th anniversary of this project, PWAG is embarking on a “visibility-connectivity-expertise” project that documents and highlights the work of not only the one thousand women nominated in 2005 for the Nobel Peace Prize, but of one million women working in all fields of human security, conflict resolution, ecological security, environmental justice, health, education and legislation among others. We are doing this primarily through the “WikiPeaceWomen” website, to document the women’s stories. The project is also expanding the network by connecting PeaceWomen across different backgrounds and languages.
