Rio Arriba County Extension has organized a few intro to beekeeping workshops in April that Melanie Kirby of Zia Queenbees Farm & Field Institute will be teaching.
May 26: Part I- Abiquiu Extension Office
June 2: Part II- Abiquiu Extension Office
Part I will focus on classroom theory- seasonal cycle and management concepts
Part II will focus on the equipment, its uses and field practicum on hive revisions
Each workshop begins at 1:00– 4:30 pm, refreshments provided and handouts.Bee Keeping May Workshops 2016
